Hello, world

Every blog starts with a hello world, and this one is no exception. This is a place for notes, write-ups and the occasional rabbit hole.
How this site works
Posts are plain MDX files in content/posts. At build time they get turned into static HTML, so the whole site is a folder of files that any static host can serve.
export function greet(name: string): string {
const time = new Date().getHours() < 12 ? "morning" : "day"
return `Good ${time}, ${name}.`
}
console.log(greet("world"))The stack
| Piece | Choice | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Framework | Next.js (static export) | Familiar, zero servers |
| Content | MDX + gray-matter | Just files in git |
| Highlighting | Shiki | Accurate, build-time |
| Font | Space Mono | Warm and a bit retro |
What to expect
- Notes on things I'm building
- Write-ups of bugs that took too long to find
- Tools and workflows that actually stuck
- Fewer posts than I'd like, but hopefully good ones
Write what you'd want to find when you search for it at 2 a.m.
